The US Ambassador to Lebanon, Dorothy Shea, informed Lebanese officials in the past two days that there is progress in the maritime demarcation file, without giving any further explanation.
Ambassador Shea pointed out that “this progress will be translated soon, and hope has not been lost in the possibility of reaching an agreement through negotiations.”
She considered that “the positions issued by the Lebanese officials are an encouraging factor to continue the efforts.”
There is serious progress in the file of maritime border demarcation, especially after the visit of American President Joe Biden to the Middle East.
