Several organizations organized a white trail in the Lebanese village Akoura to raise awareness of climate change and explore mesmerizing sites in Mount Lebanon. The event was supposed to take place today. It was canceled due to low levels of snow. The track is muddy, and only 25% of it is covered with snow. A similar event took place last year. The trail was white since the weather was completely different. Global warming is impacting our environment. The changes we are seeing are alarming, and if we do not try to change our habits to reduce these effects, we would probably lose snow, which is one of Lebanon’s legacies.
