Cinemas And Theaters Are Finally Reopening In Lebanon


With the decrease in daily coronavirus cases, Lebanon announced the long-awaited decision that cinemas and theaters can now reopen.

Closed since Lebanon first began dealing with the outbreak in March 2020, cinemas and theaters will now be allowed to open until 11:00 PM at 50% capacity.

All events such as weddings, conferences, exhibitions will also be allowed to take place until 12:30 AM with a maximum of 100 people as long as the venue does not go over the 50% capacity limit.

In addition, souks and children’s play areas in malls will be allowed to reopen as well, according to the latest circular.

The circular also indicated that restaurants, which were only allowed to open if they had outdoor seating, can now reopen indoors until 11:00 PM at 50% capacity.

Finally, the circular noted that rooftop restaurants can open until 12:30 AM.
