Minutes after resuming his investigative work after a 13-month halt, Judge Tarek Bitar has already begun issuing orders.
Judge Bitar ordered the release of 5 detained suspects; Salim Chebli, Ahmad al-Rajab, Michel Nahoul, Shafik Merhi, and Sami Hussein.
He also charged 8 others including Major General Abbas Ibrahim and Major General Antoine Saliba.
Major General Abbas Ibrahim is the former General Director of the Lebanese General Security while Major General Antoine Saliba is the current General Director.
