August has recorded an increase in passenger traffic to and from Lebanon through Beirut International Airport.
The total number of passengers who used the airport during the month of August was 796,543 passengers.
The number of arrivals to Lebanon increased by 52.97% and reached 320,489 passengers. The number of departures from Lebanon increased by 24.93% and reached 475,107 passengers.
As for the number of transit passengers, it decreased by 5%, reaching 947 passengers.
This brings the total number of passengers through Beirut Airport during the first eight months of this year to over 4 million, specifically 4,189,247 passengers, an increase of 58.32% over the same period last year 2021.
The total number of flights by national, Arab, and foreign airlines that used the airport until the end of August amounted to 5,913 flights, as the number of incoming flights to Lebanon increased by 22.20% and recorded 2,961 flights.
Also, the number of flights departing from Lebanon increased by 21.78% and reached 2,952 flights.
