Early Friday morning, a loud blast was heard by residents in North Lebanon.
According to preliminary reports, Israeli Air Force jets broke the sound barrier over North Lebanon and proceeded to attack Syria as its residents were asleep.
Consequently, multiple explosions were heard from the Syrian city of Tartus and nearby cities. The blasts were also heard in North Lebanon.
According to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), Syrian air defenses are responding to Israeli aggression in the Hama region.
Some of the blasts heard by Syrian residents are reportedly the sound of Syrian Air Defense launches as it engages in response attacks to deal with the Israeli strikes.
A Syrian military source confirmed that at around 4:00 AM on Friday morning Israel launched an air attack from Tripoli, Lebanon attacking targets in the Hama Governorate.
