The famous and beloved Egyptian actor Hasan Hosny tragically passed away in the early hours of Saturday, May 30th.

The renowned actor, who was known for his iconic roles in numerous Egyptian and Arabic films and TV shows, mainly comedies, was pronounced dead at Dar Al Fouad Hospital in Cairo, Egypt, due to a heart attack.
The sudden death of Hasan Hosny, who was 88 years old at the time of his passing, was announced by Egypt’s Representative Professions Syndicate on Saturday.
“We lost an iconic source of comedy today. Rest in peace, legend,” one Twitter user wrote.
“You will always be one of the few actors who can make me laugh. R.I.P. legend!!” another tweeted.
In addition to the numerous fans, Lebanese actors and fellow entertainers mourned the late icon, recognizing him as “one of the most important and beautiful stars of Egyptian comedy,” as Actress Maguy Bou Ghosn put it.
Similarly, Lebanese Actor, Singer, and Composer Ziad Bourji also bid farewell to the deceased actor, saying, “Goodbye [to you] who drew a laugh on the faces of millions.”
Other Lebanese artists and celebrities also joined in on the hashtag to offer their condolences and share their thoughts.
