Global Finance shared the list of the best nine central bank governors out of 89 bankers for the year 2017. The Central Banker Report Cards gets published annually and grades the heads of central banks on an “A” to “F” scale. This year, the Governor of the Central Bank of Lebanon, Riad Salameh, received an “A” and was ranked among the top governors in the world. Salameh managed to maintain the economic stability of Lebanon despite the situation in the country and neighboring regions. According to the World Bank, the GDP in Lebanon grew by 2.5% in 2017. Also, the Governor protected the value of the Lebanese pound and kept it stable. The central bankers of the following countries also received an “A”, and are the top governors of central banks in the world.
