A Cypriot of Lebanese origin is accused of plotting a terrorist attack against an Israeli businessman living in Cyprus. Turkey is prepared to provide 3,000 food portions to the Lebanese Internal Security Forces (ISF) currently suffering from the devaluation of their salaries. The Turkish ambassador to Lebanon, Ali Baris Ulusoy, made the announcement on Friday, according to NNA, after meeting with the ISF director Imad Osman. The Turkish diplomat visited Osman to discuss the bilateral relations between the two countries and their reinforcement. The French outlet Mediapart revealed that the Lebanese Judiciary has found itself in the middle of a French fiasco around the funding of former French President Nicolas Sarkozy’s presidential campaign of 2007. Former President Sarkozy is accused of having received money from his Lybian counterpart, Mouammar Gaddafi, in order to finance his political campaign. A large number of floating dead fish were found at the Fishermen port of Sidon, south Lebanon, on Friday. The cause of the disaster is believed to be contamination by leaked sewage from the wastewater treatment plant that has stopped working due to fuel shortage. Former Minister of Public Works and Transports Youssef Fenianos has filed again a lawsuit against Judge Tarek Bitar, the lead investigator into the Beirut Blast, forcing him to halt his work, once again, until a further decision is taken. Fenianos is asking for the dismissal of Judge Bitar based on that he considers him unqualified to interrogate him.
