Yacht concept inspired by Phoenician ships

Phoenicians are famous for inventing the alphabet,

trading wine

in the Mediterranean region, and building one of the world’s first ships. Recently, Yacht Harbour published an

that features five yacht concepts inspired by ancient boats. Some of the designs can be difficult to achieve; however, they move the industry forward. Igor Lobanov is an award-winning Russian designer based in Italy who got inspired by Phoenician ships and designed a modern 110-meter yacht called Phoenicia. The latter is an all-around open deck where the Arabian pattern gives “an interesting play on light and shade.” This concept translates the Phoenicians’ free and curious spirit to learn about different cultures and to discover new places.
