5 New Year's resolutions every Lebanese should (try to) make for 2019

At least try

On the first day of the new year, many people are indulging in and reevaluating some of their life choices.

New Year’s resolutions are the perfect opportunity to procrastinate more on the healthy and life-improving decisions that we already postponed a million times.

For us Lebanese, procrastination is a common thing since we always face circumstances that are bigger than us and for which we have no control.

Like for example, if a Lebanese person decided to lose weight, they will always postpone their diet till Monday just to enjoy their Teta's delicious homemade Knefeh.

We put up a list of 5 New Year's resolutions every Lebanese should try sticking to in 2019!

#1 Party Less, Sleep More

It's hard, we admit. To live in a country where the nightlife is among the best ones in the world and having to cut down on partying is no piece of cake.

You don't have to stop cold turkey though. Instead of clubbing till sunrise, you can always come back home around 2 or 3 o'clock and get some good night sleep. In case the party starts at 2... well, no comment.

#2 Get More Sunlight

In a recent study conducted by AUB, it has been proved that the Lebanese population showed worryingly high deficiencies in vitamin D.

Lebanon's sun is known for its warmth and for the good feeling it procures. This year, make the most out of your summer and get some sunshine!

#3 Get healthy

If you don't feel like hitting the gym, you can always jog in beautiful places in Lebanon such as Horsh Beirut or Beirut Waterfront.

Cutting down on bad habits such as smoking, drinking alcohol and binge eating should also be on your resolutions' list. 2019 is going to be healthy!

#4 Stress Less

A lot of things in Lebanon can get pretty stressful. From traffic jams to political issues, we can not help but stress.

Practice yoga, read a book, or watch a movie! Do anything that will take your mind off any issue stressing you out.

#5 Discover Lebanon
