These People Are Giving Hope to Children With Cancer in Lebanon

25 countries participated in this philanthropic day organized by a group of individuals.

For the second year in a row Give Them Hope, which is an independent campaign that supports children with cancer, organized its humane activity in Martyrs' Square in downtown Beirut in a day full of activities and free medical services.

This year, they presented a number of children with cancer from various hospitals and treatment centers, including Rafic Hariri University Hospital, and with the participation of 25 countries around the world. 

On this day, a show was performed in different languages in order to send a message of hope to help treat patients through a series of recreational activities.

During this day, medical professionals provided free examinations for children and attendees, like dentists, dietitians, psychiatrists, that in addition to individual supports from psychological and social associations.

The Lebanese Red Cross was also present, supervising the blood donations process, and numerous participants donated parts of their hair to cancer treatment centers. The day was also animated by Dabke performances in cooperation with the Academy of Folklore Cultural Club.

The Head of the International Ambassadors Association in the United States, Ambassador Graziella Seif, participated in the event and provided music therapy sessions for children with cancer.

That in addition to the presence of the representative of the UAE Embassy in Beirut, Mira Neyadi, and the public relations and activities' officer of the Russian Embassy in Beirut, Svetlana Safa, and a number of celebrities and media figures.

From her side, Bassima Issa, the head of the media campaign announced that Give Them Hope is currently undertaking the required legal procedures to become an association in the near future.

She also announced the opening of the first Give Them Hope's cancer treatment center called "With Love" or "Bil Hob" at Rafic Hariri University Hospital.

At the end of this philanthropic day, the campaign honored its supporters and gifts were disturbed to all participating children.
